Caroline's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to start poultry farming on her farm, so she can meet the cost of educating her children.

Caroline's story

Caroline is very clear about what she wants to get in life; she is determined to get ahead and lead a comfortable lifestyle. She is a smallholder farmer from Bungoma, in the Western Region of Kenya. She owns a small parcel of farmland. On the farm, she nurtures the growth of crops and dairy cattle. Caroline is married and has been blessed with children, who love and adore their mum. Dairy farming and organic farming methods have enabled her to give her children the best a caring mum can afford for her children. She says that ensuring that her children never lack a thing on the table, is what motivates her to work tirelessly.

Caroline recalled that her enterprises were able to break even and that she has been enjoying profits, which she uses to educate her lovely children. Caroline is borrowing a loan, so that she can begin poultry farming and, thus, increase her profits. The cost of educating all her children has brought about the need to expand her farming project, and therefore she is appealing to the Kiva community for a loan, which she has promised to repay. She thanks her lenders, in advance.
