Sope Sa Dieukeur Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seeds and agricultural inputs to grow rice and do market gardening.

Sope Sa Dieukeur Group's story

The group called Sope sa Dieukeur is a sub-group of the Ndiol Network. It is made up of six persons who are all women and are in the same business. They meet at the end of each month to organize their savings and discuss their strategies concerning living conditions and solutions to be undertaken.

They chose Mrs. Mariama as president. She is the one raising her hand in the photo. She is married and has no relatives who are part of UIMCEC.

She is responsible for supporting herself and begins her day at 7 am to end at 6 pm. She is asking for this loan to buy seeds and inputs to do market gardening and grow rice along the Sénégal river. She hopes to have more land and, thanks to Kiva and UIMCEC, to grow her production and her income. Thus she will be able to put aside savings and improve living conditions for her family.
