Grace's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for educational technology tablets from iSchool in order to provide quality and modern technology in the classroom.

Grace's story

Grace has passion for education. After retiring in 1998, she decided to open a school in the Township of Olympia in Lusaka. She turned two of the rooms in her four-bedroom house into a nursery and grade one classroom, and that is how she started Fradon School.

In her quest to continue serving the community and deliver quality education, she obtained a loan from a women’s group and built a 1 X 2 classroom block to cater to the growing number of children who were coming to the school. Since then, the school has been growing, delivering quality education and striving to serve and develop pupils holistically through academic, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual activities.

Fradon School uses creative methods to provide a practical approach to learning so that the learners can have a full appreciation for the new things they learn every day. Grace is keen on continuing to provide different ways of learning to the pupils, and she is keen on introducing ICT in the classroom.

Grace is therefore requesting a loan to purchase ICT educational materials to assist in her contribution to providing quality education in the community through modern technology in the form of the ZEduPad.

The ZEduPad is a revolutionary e-learning educational tablet designed for children; it has preloaded content mapped to the Zambian Primary School Curriculum. This educational tablet is now being used in schools throughout Zambia and many parts of Africa.
