John's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase equipment to process medical records.
In 2013, John started Micro Health Initiative because he was tired of hearing about people in his community who had died because they couldn't afford medical care. In fact, 92% of Tanzanians don't have access to health insurance and pay out of pocket when they need to see a doctor. John saw an opportunity to do something about this. Since 2013, John has enrolled 5,800 people in his insurance companies and works with nearly 20 medical facilities in his region. John has no plans of slowing down. John would like a loan to be able to purchase computer equipment so that he can upgrade his medical records systems and bring 3 new hospitals onto his insurance platform. John has been a member of AEC for the past year, during which time his social enterprise grew by 17%. He was recently recognized by a consortium of development agencies as one of the leading entrepreneurs in Tanzania with products and services that benefit women and girls.
