Tazviita Isu Group's story

She does not rest during the day as she believes that her sustenance comes from everyday toiling. Residing in a village about 10 km away from Mahusekwa Growth point near Chitungwiza is an ambitious business woman who foresees herself becoming the cream of Mahusekwa Village in terms of business.

Fourty-five year old Yvonne is married to a permanently employed driver and blessed with 3 children. Seized by the passion of working and thirsting to provide the best for her family she started market gardening and poultry business 10 years ago. She mainly grows potatoes, tomatoes and beans which she sells in Harare at the Highfield and Mbare Markets every two weeks.

Her day starts with watering her 600 square meter garden before proceeding to the fowl-run to make sure that the chickens have the necessary feed as well water in their drinking cans.

She is the sole salesperson in her business. She actively searches for new customers while making sure that her roadrunner clients who are local butcheries get adequate and quality supply.

Her group comprises 6 hardworking women who are willing to expand their various business projects which include horticulture, tailoring and poultry. Yvonne used her loan to buy more fertiliser for her garden and feeds for her roadrunners.
