Clara's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to continue and finish her education in industrial administration.

Clara's story

Clara is a young, 18-year-old lady and lives in the province of Tacna. She is studying industrial administration, and she will finish in just two more years. She chose this career because it has a high demand in the workplace, and she thinks there is a lot of potential in the industrial sector. Her father works in fish farming. He only manages enough to supply small businesses. Clara’s goal is to help her father, by using the education she is acquiring, so that his business grows and he becomes a supplier to large companies, with which he will collaborate in the development of their town.

She currently lives alone. She divides her time between going to school and working since her family is going through serious financial difficulties. As a matter of fact, the financial issue is one of the big obstacles that place the continuation of her education in danger. She doesn’t want to be another number in the statistics of young people that don’t manage to finish their education because of a lack of opportunities.

For that reason, she is requesting support from Kiva through an education loan in order to become a professional. Her biggest dream is to set up her own business to help young people from her town. She says that she is happy to know that there are people who bet on the academic training of young people. She says, “Thank you very much for all of the support offered because I will now be able to continue and finish my education in order to reach my goals. I will make the most of your support, and I will make you proud of me.”
