Janjay's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more corn meal, milk, oats, creamy wheat, and sugar to sell.

Janjay's story

Meet 29-year-old Janjay. She lives together with her partner along with two children. The ages of the children are 5 and 13. Janjay considers herself as a serious business woman who runs a business that sells corn meal, milk, oats, creamy wheat, and sugar. She sells 10 hours each day and has had no problems with her business. Both of her children are in school while living at home. Janjay stated that her business gives her more profit. She started first by selling slippers and switched to the present market.

To increase her business, Janjay applied for a loan with Kiva field partner BRAC Liberia. The loan will be used to buy more corn meal, milk, oats, creamy wheat, and sugar. She hopes to increase her business and also educate her children. She is very grateful to Kiva and BRAC Liberia.
