A loan helped buy traditional Chilean clothing from my home country to sell at my store.
I was born in Chile and came to the United States with my parents when I was five years old. I grew up in Oakland where my parents started their business. My parents would go to the flea markets on the weekends sellings arts and crafts and I would always go with them. We would also travel to different cities and attend festivals to sell our merchandise. As they progressed they successfully opened a store and eventually opened up another. I was very excited to see the process and wanted to take part in that. Today I am selling merchandise from home and have expanded my clientele through social media. I hope to open up a store in Oakland and get merchandise from connections in Chile. Since my parents and I were born in Chile, i want to demonstrate my roots through my store and expand successfully.
