Unidos Para A Vitória Group's story

The Unidos para a Vitoria ('United for Victory') group is formed by six entrepreneurial women, and they have been clients of the Banco do Povo Crédito Solidário (BPCS, People's Bank - Credit in Solidarity) for six years. They sell their products door-to-door in the community of Diadema in São Paulo. Adriana works with rentals of toys for parties and events, and with the loan she is going to buy more toys to increase the demand to serve her customers. Eliene sells table, bath, and bedding products, and with the loan she is going to replace merchandise for sale. Iraides sells clothing and cosmetics; with the loan she is going to make cosmetic kits and to buy new clothing collections. Nair works with handicrafts, and with the loan she is going to buy raw material to make her products for sale. And Nilde sells chocolates and shoes; with the loan she is going to buy more merchandise to make truffles and bonbons and to replace shoes.
Ângela is the group leader. She sells household goods and utensils in general. With the loan she is going to buy sheets, duvets, rugs, and bath towels to increase her sales. The group is going to use the extra income from the loan to invest in more merchandise for working capital. The group has experience in sales and they all work to help support their households. They are happy and like what they do, and they are going to expand their businesses little by little.
