Ann's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for tuition fees at Strathmore University.

Ann's story

My name is Ann. I was raised by my parents who are small-scale farmers. I am an independent, hard-working, and dedicated student, open-minded and self-driven in character. In school I enjoyed activities such as music, drama club, and playing football. Throughout my years in school, most of the fees were covered by bursaries and government scholarships as farming proceeds were only adequate for daily expenses.

My academic plan is to study law and my dream is to see a just and corruption-free country where everyone has equal rights in the society. My desire developed initially from my genuine interest in the justice system. In recent years I’ve taken an interest in various cases of injustices that exist and thus, every individual in this society deserves justice. It is my genuine desire to help those individuals achieve it. I want to study law to help people overcome inequality, as well as develop a sound understanding of the laws that govern us. Studying law will also equip me with knowledge and technical know-how that I need to fight corruption as one of the major vices that is deeply rooted in our society.

Strathmore University has the best environment and facilities to help me achieve my dreams. They have a dedicated team who work diligently to help students realize their dreams not only academically but also in other areas. If granted the loan, I will continue to apply the same diligence to my studies, making education and service to others my top priority.
