Dora Sonia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase kitchen utensils, supplies, and raw materials necessary for her business: rice, meats, vegetables, etc.

Dora Sonia's story

The culinary arts and her enjoyment of cooking allowed Dora, a 39-year-old entrepreneur, to become the owner of a restaurant located in the center of the municipality of Funza. For years, she worked as an employee at different restaurants in the city, where she acquired all the skill needed to prepare foods, however she became a professional through Sena, a state institution, and later she decided to open her own business.

Dora is a very organized woman and manages her business in safe and hygienic conditions to prevent possible health problems and to maintain its nutritional quality. She opens her business daily at 6 am and closes at 7 pm and offers breakfasts, set menu lunches, and meals.

Currently, she is applying for a Kiva loan, her first financing that she is getting through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to purchase kitchen utensils, supplies, and raw materials necessary for her business: rice, meats, vegetables, etc. With this investment, she plans to improve her work conditions and continue progressing. Support her with her loan.
