A loan helped to purchase leather, ornaments, glue, threads, and other materials.

Karen Auxiliadora's story

Karen continues working in the design and manufacturing of footwear. She is grateful to Kiva and MiCredito for the previous loans that were granted. Thanks to the loans she was able to invest in her workshop. She remembers that, together with her husband, she purchased a machine and some molds to begin to produce her first shoes and sandals. She has now had her business for three years, and she sells her products at the local market. In addition, she exports to Costa Rica.

Karen is requesting a new loan to invest in her business. With the money requested, she wants to purchase leather, ornaments, glue, threads, and other materials that she needs to make her products. In the future, she wants to purchase a piece of land to be able to have her own home since she now lives in her mother’s house.
