Groupement Takku Liggey's story

The Takku Liggey group joins together five women who live in the same neighborhood and work in the same business which is fish processing.

Adama who has her hand raised in the photo is the leader of the group. She is a regular as she has 32 years of experience in this field of business. Adama works at Xeelcom, a place that processes fresh fish into dried and smoked fish and where she has an oven.

With the financing she will be able to buy 50 baskets of fresh fish of one variety of fish that her customers value. She will pay people to wash and stretch the fish. The finished product will become smoked fish that she will sell by the kilogram and sell to her customers here and there.

Adama is married and the mother of 9 child, the oldest being 45 years old. She works to be able to take care of her own needs and support her children in daily life.

She hopes to build her own house one day.
