Zharkynai's story

Zharkynai, age 42, is married and is the mother of two children. Zharkynai has a secondary education, and she is involved in animal husbandry and crop farming as a means of income for her family. Her farm has six cows, 20 sheep, and a horse. On 1.28 hectares of land she raises watermelons to sell. Her combined monthly income is about 8,000 som (KGS). Zharkynai applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan in the sum of 100,000 som (KGS) in order to buy livestock for fattening and resale. She will put the profits toward the development of her business and the purchase of a plot of land.
