Se Khwe-3 (B) Village Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase farming inputs and cover labor costs to help in plowing.

Se Khwe-3 (B) Village Group's story

This village group is located in Mahlaing, a town in the Mandalay Division of central Myanmar. Most of the villagers work as farmers; some engage in raising livestock such as pigs and chickens. The loan group consists of four members: Thein, San, Ohn, and Hla.

Included in the picture, San (second from the right) is 31 years old and married with two sons. Both of her children are students. In order to support her two sons' education well, San and her spouse work very hard. The major income for her family is from their ten acres of farmland. She grows sesame, pigeon peas, and groundnuts seasonally. They started farming three years ago. For additional income, her spouse sometimes works as a mason worker.

With the support of this Kiva loan, San plans to purchase necessary fertilizers and pay for labor charges for others to help plow the farm as this is time-bound.
