Top Society Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to build a new tuck shop and locate it at a new suburb of Harare.

Top Society Group's story

Esnath’s relationship with Thrive Microfinance is building strongly. She is a member of the Top Society group, which is currently seeking a second loan. Esnath is a 31-year-old mother of five children who is currently staying at her in-laws house in Harare. Her husband is a self-employed builder.

Esnath approached Thrive in 2016 with her group members seeking credit and financial literacy training. They were approved and given a loan and Esnath used her portion of the loan to stock products for her roadside stall. Esnath’s business showed great improvement over the loan term. Her stall is usually fully stocked with attractive fruit and vegetables; moreover, she moved to a tuck-shop built with mortar and brick. Esnath experienced high returns, since she could manage to supply at a greater extent. Her group member’s trading got more consistent and now can stock more quality and quantitative products.

Esnath has taken a new loan and plans to build a new tuck shop and locate it at a new suburb in Harare. She wishes to continue assisting her husband in paying her children’s school tuition.

As a group, Top society hopes to keep on working with Thrive and maintaining a good relationship.
