Mujeres Independientes Group's story

The group called Mujeres Independientes ("independent women") is in its first cycle in the program of the women's committe, in which everyone works and helps each other to get ahead. They are participating in the survey for the elimination of poverty; none of the members is below the poverty line.

One of the members is Mercedes, who is a humble dressmaker. She is a very hard-working and enterprising person, who seeks a better means to help her family and to give them a better quality of life than she had. Mercedes requests this loan to buy cloth, thread, adhesive, zippers and other products to be able to continue with her entrepreneurship.

She is a very hard-working person who does not let herself be defeated, and who gives her all to be able to grow and get ahead.
