Bety Aide's story

Bety finished high school but was not able to go to university because her parents could not support her financially. She married a farmer.

Bety has been growing plantains for ten years. She also sells the leaves, which are used for tamales. She learned her trade to avoid unemployment. Every day, she cuts leaves and prepares them to sell them at the market.

Bety asks for a loan to buy 500 plantain plants in order to renew her crops. She will also buy manure and other farming supplies.

Her goal is to work hard and save money so that her son can go to university and have a professional career.
