A loan helped to buy seeds.

Las Cariñosas Group's story

The “Las Cariñosas” communal association will begin its first cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Focal Center Copacabana. The group is composed of eight members and is directed by a Board of Directors, of which Sonia is the President.

The loan that they will take will benefit their small businesses, including Sonia's. Currently, she has a potato and quinoa business. She explains that she learned this business through her own initiative, over several years.

The loan that she is taking will be used to expand her capital and purchase seeds, which she'll buy from sellers in her community. Later, this will promote her production in the harvest of her products, including potatoes and quinoa.

This form of work enables her to generate income to support her household economically, as she is single and independent.
