Shakeela's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy new stock for her general store including oil, ghee, sugar, pulses and bakery items.

Shakeela's story

Shakeela is a woman of age 38. She lives with her four children and husband in Gujranwala, Pakistan. Her growing family has been facing the challenge of meeting expenses with very little income from her husband.

The idea of entrepreneurship emerged six years ago when she took the initiative to open a small general store to provide basic items of eatables at the community level. The idea worked well but she has been unable to add some necessary items at her store including oil, ghee, sugar, pulses and bakery items due to the unavailability of finances.

To solve this problem, she has requested a loan from JWS Pakistan. This loan shall help her in purchasing inventory for the grocery store and increase her income in a sustainable manner.

She is thankful to KIVA and JWS Pakistan.
