A loan helped to expand her grocery business by selling more oil, biscuits, etc.

Shampa's story

Sampa is a 36-year-old married woman. She lives in a small village in Jalpaiguri District, West Bengal. She lives there with her husband and daughter. Her husband runs a small grocery shop in their community. He sells food items like spices, rice, pulses, sugar, salt, oil, bread, eggs, biscuits, etc., and daily essential commodities. He buys the goods for his shop from the wholesale market. Sampa's husband wants to grow the business to satisfy the demand of their customers.

Sampa also helps her husband during busy hours. Now Sampa wants to take a loan of 30,000 INR from BJS (Milaap’s partner) to purchase more variety of grocery items in a bulk to increase the stock of the grocery shop. With the expansion of the business, she hopes to have a better income, which will help her to improve her family's financial condition.

She wants to save the resulting profits from the business for her daughter’s future and to renovate their grocery shop with variety of items. She is thankful to her lenders.
