Jean Arentes's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy agricultural inputs for his cacao trees.

Jean Arentes's story

Jean is a man of 30 and the father of three children whose ages range from 3 months to 9 years. After his primary school years, he decided to devote himself to the 40-year-old field of cacao trees he inherited from his father. This field is what allows him to support his family so he puts all his time and effort into maintaining it. To do that, he needs maintenance products in a timely fashion so that he can avoid insects and plant maladies and also will be able to clear the underbrush.

For that reason he is asking for a loan to use to buy fungicides and other inputs in time and also avoid the predatory lenders who often take a large part of his production. The money from his sales will permit him to extend his plantation and pay school fees for his children as well as covering the other needs of his family.
