A loan helped us build out our new facility: a 3500 sq ft auto mechanic's garage we are converting into a performance space with two rehearsal studios.
When I was three years old, I started ballet lessons because my pediatrician told my parents the art form would help correct possible future scoliosis in my spine. I fell in love with dancing and performing, and I begged my parents for theatre classes in addition to dance. Thankfully, I was able to study dance, theatre and music throughout my childhood and into college. I got my first teaching job at a local community theatre when I was 18, my first directing job came shortly after that, and I began to build upon my passion for making dance-theatre. I strive to instill that passion for performance in my young students because I truly believe that performing leads to confident, happy, artistic futures. I love working with all ages, challenging students to collaborate in the creation process, and witnessing their finished products and the pride on their faces when they take their curtain call bows. Every day I believe I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to do with my life, and it feels really good.
