A loan helped To purchase more dried fish and chorizo (processed meat) to sell.
50-year-old Romeo C. is a peddler of dried fish in Sto. Nino, South Cotabato. He has four children and all he wishes to do is provide all their needs and provide a brighter future for his family. He was once a collector in a bus company. However, he was tired of doing it everyday so he decided to quit his job and manage a dried-fish business instead. Romeo would like to ask for loan of Php 14,000 from Community Economic Ventures Inc. (CEVI). He will use the loan to purchase more dried fish and chorizo (processed meat) for sale. His business is going so well, considering that he just started it in 2007. His income has gone far in paying for the school tuition and in buying groceries in their home. CEVI helps him have additional capital in his business. He receives loans, training and insurance coverage.
