Ednah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for bags of flour, a bale of sugar, cooking oils, and yeast for her bakery.

Ednah's story

Ednah is 22 years old, married, and has one child. She lives in a rural area outside of Honiara, which is the capital of the Solomon Islands.

She runs a small bakery in her community. She sells ring cakes, sweet cakes, pun cakes, donuts, and buns. She has been doing this for almost two years.

With her previous loan, she was able to purchase all of her baking utensils, ingredients, and bags of flour to commence her business. With the help of SPBD's ongoing guidance and training on how to manage a small business, she is successfully making an income and her business is running well.

Ednah is now applying for another loan to help her buy bags of flour, a bale of sugar, cooking oils, and yeast for her bakery. She plans to use her profits for home improvement.

She joined SPBD in 2016 to gain access to financial services.
