Herminia

Tiraque, Cochabamba Department, Bolivia / Agriculture

Herminia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase organic fertilizer, potato seeds, and agrochemicals to increase her production and continue with her sales in order to earn the income needed to improve her quality of life.

Herminia's story

Herminia lives in a rural area in the community of Sancayani Alto. She has six children, and she went to school up to primary school. The house where she lives is rustic, with a Spanish tile roof, and lacks some basic utility services.

She is a hard-working person, and with much optimism, she works day to day in order to earn income to support herself and her children. She works primarily in agriculture. She has approximately 15 years in this business, producing and selling her crops. She takes what she obtains and sells it at the provincial fairs in the region of Tiraque and the surrounding villages. The main products that she plants are potatoes, in large quantities, and barley, oats, and others, in smaller quantities, primarily for personal consumption.

Herminia needs to request a loan for the purchase of organic fertilizer, potato seeds, and agrochemicals to increase her production and continue with her sales in order to earn the income needed to improve her quality of life.
