Esterlita's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for an electronic load to be used as capital for her remittance business.

Esterlita's story

SMART Padala is a popular remittance facility among Filipinos which makes use of the convenience of a cellphone. Esterlita thought of this as another source of income, in addition to her Internet shop and variety store, which is shown in the photo. Esterlita applied for a loan so she can pay for an electronic load and be able to service the remittance needs of the people in her community.

Esterlita is already 63 years old but is determined to continue working for as long as she has the strength. This is because she supports the education of her grandchildren. She is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with them. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship among partners, and repay microfinance loans.
