Anushik's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy two ox calves to build up the family’s livestock.

Anushik's story

Anushik, 45, is a tireless farmer from the town of Yeghegadzor in Albania. She lives with her husband Robert, who is fifty years old, and their son, David, who is twenty. The whole family works hard on their farm from dawn till dusk.

In the last ten years Anushik and her husband have built up their animal husbandry business. They own cows, calves, hens, bees and geese. David sells milk, dairy products, poultry, eggs and honey in the marketplace. Anushik and her family are constantly working on the farm to develop and enhance it.

Now Anushik has applied for a 750,000 AMD loan through Kiva's field partner SEF to buy two ox calves in order to build up the family’s livestock and develop their farmstead. Adding these offspring to their livestock will increase dairy sales in the future. Anushik and her family are so grateful for this opportunity!
