Ngang's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped Purchase of hammer, chisel, axe, firewood, transport of materials.
Ngang P. is a father of five and widower of two separate wives. All the way back in 1998, P. joined GHAPE to be able to provide his family with a brighter future. He received training from our organization and has also invested in farming and pig rearing. Coming back to our organization, P. is looking for a loan to be able to start a firewood selling business. In this area, it is very common for people to use fires rather than stoves for their cooking, and P. sees that there is much need for greater access to this resource. That being the case, P. is looking to buy a hammer, chisel, axe and wood to be able to distribute his firewood throughout the community. With his past loan activity, P. invested the gains in educating his children, improving his home, buying piglets for his farm, and for trading in his community. This next loan will also be used for some of the same purposes. P. would like to continue his children’s education and ensure their good health, and he would also like continue improving his home, being able to plaster the walls of his house. He is sure that this business will succeed because of the large market demand and because of his ability to sell the wood at a reasonable price. P. originally came to GHAPE because of the reasonable rates on the loans and also because of what he has gotten out of them. He has learned how to manage his money, how to run a profitable farm, and has also learned about how to educate his children.
