Lucia Del Carmen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy bananas, cucumbers, plantains, carrots, watermelons, pineapples, tomatoes, potatoes, etc., to continue selling fruit and vegetables.

Lucia Del Carmen's story

Lucia is 36 years old. She went to school until high school. She is in a relationship and her partner works as a police investigator. She has three children. Two of them are studying and her mother looks after the one who is not in school yet.

Lucia makes a living selling fruits and vegetables. She started doing this because she needed more income since she worked in a supermarket but earned very little, so she decided to start her own business. Her work day starts at 4:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.

Thanks to the 3 Kiva loans that she received in the past, she was able to continue working and has now finished paying them back. She needs this new loan to buy bananas, cucumbers, plantains, carrots, watermelons, pineapples, tomatoes, and potatoes, etc., to continue selling fruits and vegetables.

She plans to continue stocking her business, gain more customers, educate her children, and continue her work with the help of loans.
