Mercy's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to attain a kisok to run her business as a Zoona mobile money transfer agent so that she can provide financial services to her community.

Mercy's story

Mercy is a single mother to a lovely one-year-old daughter. At the age of 28 Mercy is still working hard to achieve all her dreams she has for herself. Mercy is a mobile money agent as well as a student. Mercy is passionate about becoming a nurse. Through the struggle of financial difficulties, Mercy started her business.

Mercy brings financial services to her community's doorstep. With this she helps work against financial exclusion as well as toward helping her customer save on extra expenses incurred when travelling to move around funds. Mercy also has one employee, while she juggles between the life of a businesswoman, student, and mother.

Mercy reached out to Kiva for assistance. With a loan Mercy will be able to attain a booth. Within the picture Mercy poses next to a mobile trolley, this however has plenty of risk when she carries plenty of cash to service her customers. With a kiosk she will be able to minimize risk, as she'll be able to lock the door.

Mercy says her business helps her pay school fees with ease and also provide for her daughter. She'd like to one day be CEO of her own company. Mercy thanks Kiva lenders for this opportunity with the request of her first loan.
