Kan Thar (9) Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to create new rooms and repair the old rooms in her hostel for schoolboys.

Kan Thar (9) Group's story

This group is composed of five loan customers who reside in Magway, the central Myanmar. They are: Khin, Tin, Aye, Thwe, and Thandar.

Thandar, the featured borrower (first from the right in the picture) is 36 years old and has been running a hostel for rental to school boys since 2005. Thandar started this business as a way to earn more income for the family. Her spouse is a motor rickshaw driver and also makes cupboards. However, when the motor rickshaw breaks down, they have difficulties earning daily income. Thandar and her spouse feel financially safe because of this hostel business as they do not need to worry about money even when the rickshaw breaks down.

This new loan will enable her to incur the expenses; partition of the hostel, creating new rooms, and repairing the old rooms.
