Diabou's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy palm oil for resale and sheep to be raised and sold later on.

Diabou's Group's story

This group was created in November 2006 at the inauguration of the Banc villageois. It is made up of supportive women who live in the same neighborhood and work at small-scale retailing as a business. Standing on the right of the photo, raising her hand, Diabou, the featured borrower, is 34, married, and the mother of eight children, of whom four are daughters.

With the loan, she intends to buy palm oil and two sheep, which she will fatten for a certain period, with the help of her husband, and then resell.

With the profits, she adds to her savings and improves living conditions for her family in terms of food, healthcare, and school fees for the children.
