Annabelle's story

ANNABELLE V. is a resident of Brgy. Tortosa, Manapla, Negros Occidental. She is married with 3 school-age children. In 1998, Annabelle joined NWTF-Project Dungganon so that she could start a business that will help support her family. She invested in a fishing business, and she also sells the catch to the local community. Over the years, Annabelle was able to have her own pump boat which has increased her income potential. At present, her fishing boat and revenue from selling the catch in the local market nets an average of PHP 14,000 per month. Now for her 18th loan cycle, Annabelle is borrowing PHP 10,000.00 as additional working capital so that she can continue expanding the operations of her business. About NWTF: In a world full of challenges, Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. has answered the calling of not just of a few but thousands of women. Through the alleviation program, these women have progressed from earning less than a measly $1 a day, to surpassing the realities beyond their dreams. They have learned to live a life where they can finally be called honorable. This is Project Dungganon.
