A loan helped to pay the customs clearance fee for car work.

Cristina's story

Cristina is a 28-year-old employee from Gherman Village, Ungheni region, Moldova. She works for a carpet-making company in Ungheni, but at the moment, she is on maternity leave. Additionally, she has a small business concerned with trade in Iasi city. This business is her family's main source of income.

Cristina bought the car for transporting goods with foreign registration because it was cheaper. However, as of January 1, 2017, cars in Moldova are not allowed to go more than 6 months with foreign registration.

Cristina wants to take a loan from Kiva in order to pay the customs clearance fee for her car, so it can help her continue to deal with trade in the future. It’s her life, and she is trying to do better this way.
