Aminata's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy used clothes to sell to her customers.

Aminata's story

Greetings from Waterloo1, a community near a small and busy rural area in Sierra Leone.

This is 40-year-old Aminata, a married mother who is blessed with six children.

Aminata sells used clothes within a busy market area. Aminata has been in this business for the past six years. Before that, she was selling for her parents; she has been a trader all her life. Aminata works 15 hours per day, six days per week. She desires to take care of herself and develop her business. She says that despite the insufficient finances, her business is doing well.

Aminata wants to use this loan to buy used clothes to sell to her customers. She would like to see her business grow in the next five years. She really wants to improve her life and is grateful to BRAC Sierra Leone and the Kiva community for their financial support.
