Isata's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy footwear to sell.

Isata's story

Greetings from Waterloo, a community near the small and busy rural area in Sierra Leone.

This is 36-year-old Isata, a married mother blessed with 3 children between the age of 5 years and 20 years. Two of her children are currently going to school.

Isata runs a retail business selling foot wear within her environment, moving from door to door. Seemingly, distinct businesses are often mixed in Sierra Leone, the idea being that a customer will come to purchase one thing but will leave having purchased another. Isata has been a trader over 6 years. She works from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Isata desires to empower her life. She wants to use this loan to buy footwear to sell to her customers. Isata would like to open a big shop. She really wants to improve her life and is grateful to BRAC Sierra Leone and the Kiva community for their financial support.
