Dion's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped replace equipment with larger capacity washers which is in high demand in my store.

Dion's story

I grew up here in San Francisco. My family immigrated here in the early 1900's from both Philippines (Father-side) and China (mother-side) I went to Liincoln high school up the street from Beach Wash. My Filipino grandfather bought his first home in the sunset district in 1962 for 15,000. My dad went to the same school as me. I learned to surf three blocks away from the laundromat. Everyone has moved away. In a time here in San Francisco, where natives and non natives are perpetually being displaced , so In terms of what impact on desire to own a business ... I feel very strongly in keeping a place holder in my families San Francisco lineage. I hope to open additional niche laundromats (possibly a cafe/bookstore laundromat) .. I feel laundromats are one of the few places that indirectly foster a community. Think about it. What other place are neighborhood folk going to spend an intimate amount of time idle with other neighbors..
