Fatoumata's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a variety of local consumer products, such as palm oil and smoked fish, to resell.

Fatoumata's Group's story

The 'banc villageois' of which this group is a part was inaugurated in March 2001. The group is composed of women with a lot of solidarity who work in the commerce of various local products. They take out loans, which they repay on time.

Ms. Banna, at the right in the photo with a hand raised, is the group's representative. She is 59, a widow, and the mother of five children, including three girls. She has been in her business for over fifteen years.

With the money requested, she intends to purchase five 20-liter containers of lime juice, two 20-liter containers of palm oil, a basket of smoked fish, and 10 kg of fresh oysters. The profits will be used for food, healthcare, and education for the children.
