Kiruthika's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to start her sweets-making business by making pottu-kadalai, ellu oorundai, etc. and sell them in the local market.

Kiruthika's story

Kiruthika, 28, is a resident of the Tiruchirappalli district in Tamil Nadu. She is married and lives with her family that consists of four people. Being a daily wages laborer, she earns around Rs. 8,500, which is not enough to run the family. She wishes to start a sweet-selling enterprise, where she can make and sell Pottu-kadalai (sweets made of fried gram and jaggery), ellu oorundai(sesame balls), pasiparupu urundai (moong dal laddoo), etc. As she has the insufficient capital, she has approached GMF, a field partner of Milaap, to request for loan support of Rs. 20,000 as well as training, to fund for her sweets making unit and for the purchase of necessary raw materials. The income from this business would be helpful for their family needs and to support their children’s education. She is thankful to the lenders.
