ESPERENCE is a nurse by training who has her own pharmacy in the area, and she is the leader of a nurse collective at “CENTRE HOSPITALIER de la 3e CBCA”. After work, she operates a small-scale business apart from the pharmacy. It is a big shop in the area, and she is driven to apply for a loan at the microfinance institution Hekima. A married woman, she is 40, married, and the mother of eight children, who are all students.

With this loan, she is going to purchase five 20-liter containers of vegetable oil, five sacks of cornmeal, and four 100-kg sacks of beans,.. to stock her shop. She plans to renovate her house in the days to come and to provide a good education for her children. “Thanks to Hekima and its dear partners for reaching every level of society by supporting them financially,” says Ms. Espérance.
