Las Maravillosas De Playa Verde Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy wool in bulk.

Las Maravillosas De Playa Verde Group's story

The “Las Maravillas de Playa Verde” communal bank is starting its second loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Copacabana regional hub. It is made up of nine members and is lead by a Board of Directors, where Veronica is president.

The loan they are taking out will benefit small-time micro entrepreneurs, one of whom is Veronica. At this point in time, she has a business selling blankets. She shares that she learned this business on her own initiative a number of years ago.

The loan that she is taking out will be used to increase her working capital to buy wool in bulk. She will get it from the wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz. Then she will make the blankets and sell them in her sales space. This type of work allows her to generate an income to support her family financially, because she is married and has two children.
