Villa Carmen Group's story

The Villa Carmen Group is beginning its first Pro Mujer loan cycle through the Copacabana Social Center. It has eight members and the management board's president is Jacoba.

The loan will benefit small business owners including Jacoba. Her current business is selling milk and she says she started it on her own several years ago.

The loan she is applying for is to increase her capital to buy cattle from dealers in her community. This will be the means of production that allows her to earn an income to support her family economically. She is married and has three children.
