Lucia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more chicken and spare ribs to sell.

Lucia's story

Lucia, 39, lives with her partner and has three children. All of them attend school, and she is responsible for paying their school fees.

To earn a living Lucia sells chicken and spare ribs and transports them to her business site by truck. She started this livelihood with money given to her by her uncle and has since been in the business for years. Even though she wishes it, however, she hasn’t the capital to expand her business--a real challenge, as her dream is to own more business outlets so that she can raise enough income to educate her children up to university.

Therefore, Lucia has applied for a 25,000 LRD loan through Kiva's field partner BRAC Liberia to buy more chicken and spare ribs in order to add more stock to her business. Lucia says thanks to all lenders around the world for supporting her dream.
