Armonie A Group's story

MARIE THERESE has been a client of the microfinance institution Hekima for over six years. Four years ago, she assumed responsibility of the 'banc villageois' called “ARMONIE A”. She is 33, married, and the mother of five children, who are all students. She does commerce in shoes at a public location. She began with startup funding from her husband, who is currently unemployed.

With this loan, she is going to purchase nine sacks of shoes [weighing 50 kg] to bolster her business. She intends to open a big store in the days to come in order to be a supplier of these products. “Thanks to Hekima and its partners,” says Ms. MARIE THERESE, “for financially supporting those left behind economically.”
