Vesy Dinora's story

Vesy is 30 years old, she is a single mother with two children and lives with her parents in a district of San Pedro Sula, in Cortes province. She makes a living by preparing and selling maize tortillas. Previously she used to work in an assembly plant. She has been running her business from home for 5 years. Vesy is asking for a loan of 10,000 Lempiras (Honduran local currency) for her first loan from the institution. The loan is to buy maize flour, packets of plastic bags and 3 sheets of galvanised steel to repair her food stall where she makes tortillas. She believes that her business will improve with this investment. Her goal is to attract more customers, increase her sales and hire a salesperson to satisfy the demand that she currently has .
