Jacinta's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a solar light, cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for maize cultivation.

Jacinta's Group's story

Jacinta is 45 years old and has six children. She is a group leader, representing ten farmers in Webuye District, Kenya.

Jacinta has been farming with One Acre Fund for years, having joined the program for the first time in 2009. This decision was largely as a result of her desire to have access to quality training and acquire new farming methods. Although she described her last harvest as poor due to bad weather conditions, she believes she could have a better one this year by continuing to work alongside One Acre Fund.

Jacinta also decided to purchase a solar light as part of her loan, which she is very excited about, as it will allow her to have an overall improved quality of life.

Obtaining this loan means that Jacinta's group will be able to receive a total of ten solar lights, as well as seeds to plant a total of 4.25 acres.
