Kanagambal's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to start her sweets-making business by making pottu-kadalai, ellu oorundai, etc., and selling them in the local market.

Kanagambal's story

Kanagambal, 33, is a resident of the Namakkal district in Tamil Nadu. She is married and lives with her family of five. Being a daily wages laborer, she earns approximately 2,500 INR, which is not enough to help the family.

She wishes to start a sweets-selling business, where she can make and sell pottu-kadalai (sweets made of fried gram and jaggery), ellu oorundai (sesame balls), pasiparupu urundai (moon dal laddoo), etc. As she has insufficient capital, she has approached GMF, a field partner of Milaap, to request a loan of 20,000 INR, as well as training, to fund her sweets making unit and for the purchase of necessary raw materials.

The income from this business will be helpful to her family in providing for their needs and supporting her children’s education. She is thankful to the lenders.
