Jamiluddin's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped purchase water filters to sell in East Indonesia.

Jamiluddin's story

Mr. Jamiludin is the head of a community health center on Flores Island in East Indonesia. This is one of the poorest and driest areas in Indonesia, with no access to clean drinking water.

Mr. Jamiludin became a reseller of Nazava water filters water filters because, he considers the filters an appropriate way to provide the people with healthy water.

Mr. Jamiludin will use the loan to purchase another 220 water filters that will provide 1,100 people with safe drinking water. He sells the filters through a network of health workers related to his community health center.

This is the second loan for Mr Jamiludin, he repaid the first one on time. The KIVA loan is especially helpful because shipping the filters to his office will take around one month. Delivering the filters to the villages is another challenge because the area is very mountainous and many communities can be reached by motorbike only and are cut-off totally when it rains.
