Ngosa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped Ngosa to start running her own business as a Zoona mobile money transfer agent, so that she can provide financial services to her community.

Ngosa's story

Ngosa, 23 years old, resides with her mother and sister in Kitwe. Since Ngosa's mother is unemployed right now, the financial responsibility is with her elder sister, who is a pre-school teacher.

Ngosa completed her secondary schooling in 2011 and has worked in a cafe for two years. Ngosa has taken up a course through distance learning and has also become an entrepreneur, so that she can fund her tuition fees.

Ngosa will be a money mobile agent and serve her community by sending received funds via a mobile transaction. This is a vital service since many Zambians do not have access to financial institutions. Via a mobile transaction, Ngosa is able to help her customers with sending funds to a recipient and this can be received or collected within minutes.

Ngosa reached out to Kiva since she lacks funding for her business. This loan will help her attain a kiosk from where she will be able to trade from, like the one in the photograph.

Ngosa is excited to grow her knowledge with this business venture and become financially independent. She is appreciative of the support received from Kiva lenders for herself and other individuals like herself. She thanks everyone in advance.
